PEACE PRACTICES
Mindfulness
Mindful Movements are practices that teach Mindfulness and awareness in movement, such as walking, dancing, Tai Chi, and yoga. These practices are integrated into the Peace Education curriculum or workshop to create a holistic approach and support all avenues of learning and being.
Yoga
Yoga supports body, mind, and emotional development and it is fun for the entire family. Integrating the practice of Body, Mind, and Spirit.
Yoga supports people and children in understanding the power of their breath in calming oneself, and awareness and concentration skills that build our inner strength and esteem, self regulation, and peaceful presence.
Peace is inspirational. Peace practices can change your life, your family, your community, and the world. Want to know how? Watch this inspirational video at UPLIFT. Be Brilliant. Be Inspired. Be Peace.
"If we are to reach real peace in the world...we shall have to begin with the children
And if they will grow up in their natural innocence,
We won’t have to struggle,
We won't have to pass fruitless ideal resolutions,
But we shall go from love to love and peace to peace,
Until at last all the corners of the world are covered with that peace and love for which, consciously or unconsciously,
The whole world is hungering."
-Mahatma Gandhi
